I am Leonardo Salicari, I was born in Perugia (Italy) (you might know that for the chocolate or the jazz), studied Physics for my bachelor’s degree and than moved to Padua to pursuing my Ph.D. in Physics and my carrier as a medieval fencer (I am working on that). Currently, I live in Bologna. I worked on statistical mechanical models of biopolymers and numerical simulations of these (some say that I like proteins). Now I am trying to learn as much as possible about High Performance Computing (HPC) in the context of Life Science.

I love to play board games, hiking through and to cool places (from seashores to mountains) and recently took up a Nikon D3300 with an 35 mm (equivalent 52 mm for a full frame) lens and began taking photos of what seems nice. Trying to improve my knowledge about Fiore dei Liberi’s fencing school.
